iPhone 7 scratched by keys - DIY fixes please!

So my keys got loose in my purse and scratched up my iPhone 7 screen. I am bummed. I looked online and tried taking toothpaste to smooth it out. Maybe it worked, or maybe I am crazy. Does anyone else have another DIY trick without me having to replace the screen/put out more money than this prized phone already costs?

Thanks,
Ela

for the price of handsets these days, i think they should all come with a screen protector fitted. Even if its a cheap one to see over a few days until you get a better one.

That won't work on glass - You need one for glass scratches made specifically for the job.
