You can't cap contracts with O2 I'm afraid.
If you are going over on calls you need to up your tariff - it's cheaper than paying for overs.
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)

Oh and data just stops working so you can never overspend without actually buying more.

@AnonymousAs said, you can't cap on O2, but if you feel you need to, you could switch to Tesco Mobile. They use the O2 network and you can limit your monthly spend.

I DO NOT WORK FOR O2

Assuming it's not gonna cost you £000's to get out of your o2 contract.

If you are getting near to your limit allowance I would advise you to check My O2 regularly. Out of allowance charges are quite expensive as you are aware. As said, consider a change of tariff to one with unlimited calls and texts. It may be cheaper in the long run than going over your minutes.
