Unblocking an old phone

Hi I would like to give an onl phone to my daughter and I want to unblock it. I have the imei code.  What do I do now?

If you have a contract you need to put the sim in and make a few calls to re register the imei on o2's system.

If payandgo you will need to top up with £20 and again make some calls leaving £15  credit to pay for the unlock.
