If u ring O2 tomorrow on 202 Contract or 4445 payg they can check your account if you wish. But I don't think it's its that tbh.

I assume you mean he can text you OK which means network is OK.
If he has a Samsung (or other modern) smartphone he may have accidentally blocked your number.
Maybe best to ring him or get your daughter to text him to check in the message app settings.
