O2 won't let me unlock second hand iPhone 4!!!!

Hi, can anyone help? I bought a second hand iPhone 4 and want to unlock it. I ordered a sim from O2 and it is currently topped up with £25, plenty to pay for the unlock! But every time I request an unlock for my phone, I receive a message saying my security details aren't correct and I should check them and try again. I've done this several times but O2 won't accept it! Please can someone help?????? 😕

Yes it's locked to O2 because I've tried a sim from another network in and it says that network is not supported

I've made calls but only free ones, not ones that have cost me anything

Make chargeable calls and then re try in a few days to aloow the calls to show on your o2 account.

If you bought it 2nd hand it might be tied to anothers number and therefore the details you supply are 'incorrect' in relation to the original owner

I'd call them up, explain the situation .. they might be able to do it that way
