Im upgrading my phone contract from a blackberry to an iphone 5 online, but with me doing it online i was just wondering if i would still be able to keep my old number? can anyone please shed any light and let me know please

Yes you'll be fine, you'll need a new sim and can swap the number here:

 

http://swapmysim.o2.co.uk/

 

Then ask O2 to change your tariff from BB to iPhone.
