Little airplane will show in the top status bar.
Settings ~ Airplane mode.
If it's an upgrade and you needed a new sized SIM card have you performed the sim swap ?

if it was a sim swap you may have to keep turning your phone off and back on a few times for the new SIM to register on the network.

sometimes with a sim swap it can take upto 24hours to activate just depends on how busy the service is and network is. granted its all so much quicker then that, i hope it comes to life soon and you can use your shiney new device, sometimes just a simple take the sim out and for a coupl,e of mins and putting it back in can boot it into life, but all you can do my friend is sit tight and wait... hope this helps a little and sheds some more light
