Hi,
I updated to iOS 7.0.5 this morning via wifi, and since doing that, my phone will not connect to the O2 network. It just has "searching" in the top left corner.
I spoke to O2 on the phone for about an hour and tried everything she said and nothing worked. She said I need to go down to a shop as they might be able to help. she did say try to restore it, which i did try and do, but it said to turn off the 'find my phone' thing, but it would not let me do that. came up with a message saying "Cannot turn off find my phone, there was a problem deregistering this iphone with iCloud".
I've tried restoring it in safe mode but that didn't make a difference.
When I go into 'general' settings, and go onto 'about', it says network - Not Available and Carrier - Not Available....
I will go down to the O2 shop tomorrow, but just wondered if anyone had any idea how to sort this out?
Thanks
Kerry

Hi,
TBH the o2 shop wont be able to do much for you apart from supply another sim card.
You could seek advice fom your local apple store via a Genius Bar appointment or if apple allowed you to downgrade back to iOS7.0.4 life would be so much simplier.
Genius bar : http://www.apple.com/uk/retail/geniusbar/
Have you checked to see if their are any reported mast issues in your area.
Check you dont have any pending carrier updates.

Hi
I've updated my phone last week and have no issues. Can you try your sim in a different phone to see if the sim or phone itself is faulty?

Hi,
No, I can't try that as it's the micro sim, so won't fit in my husbands phone. guess they will be able to try that at the shop tomorrow.
Thanks anyway :O)

Let's hope the sim is faulty and not the phone.
But if the phone is the issue, don't use o2 repair, go straight to Apple store.
Let us know the outcome please.

If it is then Apple will swop it out for you.
Make an appointment at their Genius Bar at your most local shop.
http://www.apple.com/uk/retail/geniusbar/ {same link as above}
Dont let O2 take it for their own repair service.
Let us know how you get on.
Good Luck.
