Ahhh, got excited when I saw an update iOS 7.0.5 "corrects network provisioning for some iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c models" then read "sold in China."
I have the 5s and updated to iOS 7.0.5 and my network improved. My 5s also kept on connecting to GPRS but it is better now. And I am not in China

Very interesting. Let's hope it stays consistent. Thanks for the update.
It was just a carrier update mainly for the people who bought the 5s and 5c in China.
If this has a positive impact for Uk owners carrier connection then great.
Hopefully iOS 7.1 will be looming around March 2014 with a few goodies inserted.

It would be good to hear from other members if it has improved the 4G/3G signal switching to GPRS.
I agree as this would highlight this has had an effect and is not just a coincidence.
I have not updated my iPhone 5s yet due to not being on stock iOS.
However thankfully in my case 4G and 3G are constant and strong in my area.

Doesn't work all the time but it definitely switches to GPRS less than it used to..
I have very good 3G at home and in the area, which is good but obviously there is an issue affecting 5s users.
