Ok so know we all know the advice i gave has stopped you using mobile data.
ios 7 will give you a breakdown by app / system usage so I would upgrade to that when next on wifi or connected to itnes or download one of the data recording apps.
600mb data that is a strange amount thought they were 100mb 500mb 750mb 1gb and now 2 5 8 gb
But by turning cellular data (american british selected) off no mms / vvm will work or any data away from wifi.

I don't how my data is being used up. I just keep getting messages from O2 telling me it has been used up. I spoke to O2 online and the first time I was told I had to enable restrictions. Despite telling them that my restrictions were already enbled she insisted that this was the problem. She then got me to disable them and then to enable them again and told me that would 'solve' the problem. I didn't get a clear answer as to why the problem had suddenly occured when no changes had been made to my phone settings. then this month the exact same thing happened again. I know of two other people who have suddenly had this problem, one of whom has very few apps and hardly uses his data normally.
I bought extra data on Monday and as soon as I bought it I received a message from O2 telling me I had used 80% of my data. That was at 1:30pm . By 5pm I had received a message telling me I had used all my data.

Asking which phone and OS you are using was helpful and you haven't responded!
Criticising those trying to help you is not a good idea.
