I suddenly cannot send texts to one contact, although I can receive texts from this contact and we can phone each other. I have an iPhone SE and they have a basic Samsung phone and text device. Though this suggests the Samsung has somehow blocked my number their local O2 shop has apparently checked the phone and says there's nothing wrong with it, and of course the phone part still works both ways. I had a 5c when this first happened but have since upgraded to an SE and the problem is still there, so assume it isn't me. Any suggestions as this is getting very frustrating.

Your number is 99% certainly blocked on the Samsung within the messaging app settings.

Thanks. Will try to sort this way, though O2 shop should have checked this I would have thought?

Hello @Anonymous,
Not sure if it helps but you can check this from Apple: If you can't send or receive messages on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.
Please, let us know how it goes and if we can help you more

Many people don't know that Samsung phones have a blocked call or spam list in message settings too.

Thanks for all replies. Sorry it has taken so long to advise due to holidays, but the problem is now solved! Somehow the spam messages had been ticked on the Samsung. Took a while to find but now sorted. Thanks again.

Glad to hear you got sorted @Anonymous! Those spam filters are handy until a number goes on there inadvertently.
