I've went through the usual process to transfer the eSIM from the old watch 6 to the new series 8 and have received notification that it was activated but it constantly shows no connection.

There are no error messaages and CS just sent me to a generic help page.

Is this related to the problems others are having regarding activation?

@aldaweb

Many problems with esim and Apple watch.

Generally, a switch to physical sim fixes it.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)

Sadly not an option with the watch.

Thanks for confirming my analysis though.

@O2KyleW I see you were able to help Adders89 with a similar problem, are you able to offer any solutions for mine?

I meant if the phone was using an esim.

I know you can't change the watch sim.

Thanks Denise. Sadly only when I hit a problem. Good to see many of the same people are still around. 😊

Just to update on this, I switched the airtime plan back to the previous watch and then back to the new watch and now it all works properly 😀
