I’m going to Jamaica, if I use the free Wi-Fi do I still need to buy a bolt on …£7 per day is quite excessive

Provided you don't connect to a Jamaican network you could use WiFi without a bolt on

Put the phone into aeroplane mode then turn on WiFi

I would still have the bolt on as you are only charged when you use it.

Check your bolt ons in My O2 it may be included in your tariff already
