Sorry for off topic.........but, still using S3 on 4.1.2.
Updates turned off for ages now, after reading all the problems on here. Phone is running great, and I'm still happy with it. Should I update? Is there anything at all I'd benefit from if I did? I'm guessing if I update, I'd get the latest thing, and not the problem ones that were about last year?

My advice is NO !!
4.3 was a bad update for the S3 and caused more problems than it solved.
If you're happy with the phone as it is, just leave it well alone.
A way back I trialled 4.2.2 for the S3 and it was very good - I've no idea why Samsung chose not to release that update though....
If you can find it on Google it's worth updating to but otherwise, stay as you are, unless of course you want to try any Custom Rom's

Samsung
Samsung might be the king in the Android smartphone market but they sure do take their time with updates. We have to cut them a little slack though, with millions upon millions of devices waiting for an update, it can take time to test them all. The last we heard about an Android 4.4.4 update for Samsung devices suggested that it would be released in June. This was before 4.4.4 was released so it seems this has been delayed. With July coming to an end, Samsung could end up pushing out updates in August. The Galaxy S5 will be first in line, then the Galaxy Note 3 and finally the Galaxy S4.
