Hi got new phone and found it needs a nano sim and my current sim is a micro one, I contacted 4445 and they are going to send out a new nano sim, they said when I get it I can either  phone them to keep my same number or do it on line?

If I do it on line how would I do this please?  Also I presume once my existing number is on my new nano sim my pay as you go balance, etc will be transferred over?   Also what about any text messages and contacts on my current sim card will they too go onto the new sim card?  Many thanks Jules

You just need to do a sim swap Guide: Sim Swap: a mini guide 2017 update

Your number and tariff will move over but nothing else.

If you have any contacts saved to your sim, you need to copy them to your phone.

I assume you've checked if you can convert your current sim?

@joules Text messages are not stored on your sim card. They're on your phone. Changing sims won't alter that.

I DO NOT WORK FOR O2

Thank you, have noticed on my current samsung phone you can copy contact numbers from the phone to the sim, wonder if maybe that would be okay to do as only want the contacts on my sim card?

You can do that but best to sync all contacts to your Google account so they are accessible on any device you are signed into.

The information that can be held on a sim is very limited and subject to data loss.
