emails via Samsung

Firstly apologies if this is in wrong place but it has already taken me 15 minutes to even get here. Secondly I am a luddite.
I have a Samsung galaxy and just tried to use the email on it for first time to send a photo but recipient hadn't received it. My phone contract is with O2 but my Wi-Fi/broadband at home is with orange and I'm not sure if this is the problem. I'm sure this is of no importance but I'm writing this on my Kindle as couldn't seem to find this O2 page on my phone and also find the writing on the phone to be almost lilliputian.
When I press send when on email page it doesn't say anything or change screen and sent box is showing as empty.
Totally understandable if no-one can help as even I am having difficulty understanding what I've just typed!

G-Mack, there is no point having this phone without a Google account - It is the heart of the phone. Goto www.google.co.uk and hit the sign up button to create an account. Keep a note of your gmail adress and password, then when registration is complete you can use the details to log into your phone. From there you can go onto Play Store and download the Hotmail app which will automatically sort out your email issues when you enter your details into it.

Firstly, it's a little difficult to figure out someone's gender by their name. I guess I didn't look hard enough. My bad. Not. Secondly, you're the one who classed yourself as a Luddite, which is why I questioned your need for a smartphone. Maybe you don't really know the meaning of the word.

It was a wee humorous side. Anyway I work with teens all week so I suppose I'm slightly touchy when dealing with comments similar to their at weekends. I would have liked to have stuck with what I class an ordinary phone but the one I had last was awful and O2 people said it was because all work was now into smart phones so if I didn't get one then I'd just have to deal with **bleep**ey phones. I may learn how to do more with it but as I said before the people in shop were a combination of snooty sods or muttering into their collars so I opted out of their classes to learn more. The help here in the main had been great but I think it's definitely for people with a little/lot more knowledge than me so thanks again and I do understand the initiated explaining to the uninitiated can be annoying.

I'm not sure where it is you see any teen comments, but that can slide. People are here to help the uninitiated. There's no stigma attached to that. Perhaps you would have been better off coming to the forum before you tried to get answers in an O2 shop. Ask what you need to and you will get answers that will help you learn your phone. You might even get to a point where you enjoy using it.
