Firstly, it's a little difficult to figure out someone's gender by their name. I guess I didn't look hard enough. My bad. Not. Secondly, you're the one who classed yourself as a Luddite, which is why I questioned your need for a smartphone. Maybe you don't really know the meaning of the word.

The help here in the main had been great but I think it's definitely for people with a little/lot more knowledge than me so thanks again and I do understand the initiated explaining to the uninitiated can be annoying.
We're here to help anyone so don't worry just ask for any you need, we all had to start somewhere.

It was a wee humorous side. Anyway I work with teens all week so I suppose I'm slightly touchy when dealing with comments similar to their at weekends. I would have liked to have stuck with what I class an ordinary phone but the one I had last was awful and O2 people said it was because all work was now into smart phones so if I didn't get one then I'd just have to deal with **bleep**ey phones. I may learn how to do more with it but as I said before the people in shop were a combination of snooty sods or muttering into their collars so I opted out of their classes to learn more. The help here in the main had been great but I think it's definitely for people with a little/lot more knowledge than me so thanks again and I do understand the initiated explaining to the uninitiated can be annoying.
I'm not sure where it is you see any teen comments, but that can slide. People are here to help the uninitiated. There's no stigma attached to that. Perhaps you would have been better off coming to the forum before you tried to get answers in an O2 shop. Ask what you need to and you will get answers that will help you learn your phone. You might even get to a point where you enjoy using it.
