cant send texts

Since updating to lollipop this morning I have not been able to send any sms. I can send mms and do everything else on my phone, phone calls apps internet etc etc.

I have checked all the apn and centre setting and they are all correct. I have factory reset my phone and still isn't working.

Anyone got any ideas? I'm using a HTC one m8.

Try network selection and force the phone onto a different network. It will fail but then select O2 again and try it.

It does sound like a network issue though all the same....

Tried the switching of networkd and no change. Have spoke to friends on o2 that are near by and they havent had any issues.

Seems like texts are now sending but still saying pending on my end like they haven't gone through which makes it more likely it's a network issue by the sounds of things

I have had this issue for days. I have been told there is a network issue but they may not fix it even by the end of the week! The sms system seems to be working in batches only. I had service after lunch today but not again now. Maybe there will be another text window before midnight.I'm holding my breath and hoping. (the network manual switch doesn't seem to make any difference although it should)

That is the most likely cause to the problem here the OP is having tbh, so I guess it's just a case of waiting for it to be fixed.

Just noticed on Twitter that some are complaining that they can't send texts too, so must be a system issue.
