If you are on contract you could give Tugo a try when you are at home http://www.o2.co.uk/apps/tu-go
Otherwise it's a case of waiting to see if your area is on the list for network upgrades?

Check your masts status via http://status.o2.co.uk/ to see if they are undergoing maintenance.

Check the planned maintenance tab at the bottom too.

As you are aware it's a poor area for O2 coverage so nothing is going to help unless the upgrades reach you - Unfortunately no advanced notification of these from O2.

I have a Samsung S III mini. I live near Tonbridge, Kent and receive a poor signal ( one bar if lucky ) only 27 miles or so from the centre of London.  I find this surprising and am also surprised that the O2 store didn't check this at time of purchase. I would like to stay with O2 but need a solution so that I can use my phone with a good signal - surely a reasonable request ?
