I’m regularly seeing the row of 4 dots at top of my iPhone next to the WiFi bars, I can see them now (I’m at home on WiFi so can search the internet anyhow but had to restart iPhone to see the vertical bars again) but when it happens when I’m out and about I have to restart my iPhone to start getting mobile reception again. What is causing this as my friend that I was with at the time also had O2 and everything was fine with her iPhone? Thank you

@DiamondJules

I'd try a new sim first.

Pop into any O2 store with some ID and they will do it for you.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

@DiamondJules You don't have to go in store. You can do it yourself if you're comfortable with doing that:

SIM Swap: a mini guide (incl eSim) - O2 Community

To request a new sim to swap, contact customer service.
Call 202 from your mobile or 0344 809 0202, 0800 902 0217 or 0800 032 1402.
When it comes to the reason you are calling, stay silent for 15 seconds and you will be taken to the keypad options.
Press 2 for Everything Else
Press 5 for More Options
Press 7 for Anything Else which will put you though to someone.
Say 'Upgrade', 'Lost/Stolen', or 'Fraud' if the suggestion above doesn't get you through.
Best time to call is 8 am.
You can also reach O2 via social media:
Facebook (https://o2uk.co/O2CFB), Twitter (https://o2uk.co/O2CTW), or Instagram (https://o2uk.co/O2CIG)

I DO NOT WORK FOR O2

Yes, the sim swap carries over all the same details to the new sim.

It will fix issues if your sim is faulty @DiamondJules
