So far all I've got that this isn't an o2 device (it is and supplied by o2) - are there any mods that can help me out?

@mickyotw

There is no one around on a sunday night from o2, but i will tag @O2Lisa to see if she can help in the morning.

If the S9 was provided by o2 (direct) it wont have been provided locked as o2 haven't supplied locked handsets since 2018. (and before the s9 was released).

Have you tried another sim card in the device and where did you buy it from?

"Not an O2 device" means it's not locked to O2, therefore, if supplied by O2, it isn't locked.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Hi, where did you get the device from and when you turn it on or off does it display mobile network logo? Do you know which network it is locked too?

Yes you need to call the network who originally locked it, that’s why I wanted to know where you got it from. Here are some helpful numbers:

BT Mobile: 0800800150
EE: 08009566000
Vodafone: 07836191191
Three: 07782333333
Virgin Mobile: 08456000789
