Sony Experia not charging

Hello purchases a sony Experia for a Xmas present worked fine until yesterday plug in and it will not charge the green light comes on to say its charging but nothing happens. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Have you tried using a different charger as it may be the charger and not the phone.

Very true although the green light coming on would indicate it's recognising it's plugged in but charger could not be outputting properly

Hello, and thank you for all the advice, the phone is over six weeks old as it was purchased for Christmas, it has been very well looked after, will try purchasing a charger and see if that makes a difference. Thank you all x
