You need to set up manually. Go to add an account and untick push, then at the bottom of the screen select manual and change the following settings

Login: username@talktalk.net
Incoming email (POP3): mail.talktalk.net
Outgoing email (SMTP): smtp.talktalk.net

If still can't send use smtp.o2.co.uk

Incoming mail port110
Outgoing mail port25
Log on using SPALeave unticked
AuthenticationNone

What email provider? What problems are you having? What error messages are you getting?
