Update 22/10, 8:00:

Samsung has confirmed the Jelly Bean update is now available.

 

Update 20/10:

As you might have noticed, this hasn't gone live yet. We were expecting it to on Friday and are working with Samsung to figure out what went wrong and will update ASAP.

Hey Guys,

 

Good news! The wait time is almost over for Samsung Galaxy SIII users. From tomorrow, 19th October '12, you'll be be able to upgrade to the much awaited 4.1 Jelly Bean update over Wi-Fi or via Kies.

 

If you have activated the 'auto-update' feature from out of box, you will be prompted to download the 4.1 Jelly Bean update.

Half rhetoric.time there was a problem with UK passport offices, the first I knew usually came from a customer.

And why should I need to know. I'm only working at the call centre quoting the passport mantra!!! LoL (ps no questions.on passports as sadly.no longer working.due.to health slight_smile )

It is annoying though, people paying for a £500+ phone & using a high end network expect a more professional service than this!
If it were a £50 device on Giff Gaff I could understand it but when you're paying iPhone money you expect iPhone service, if this had happened with ios 6 there'd be uproar!

Please pay attention. The grumble is no longer about the silly update - it is about the contempt that O2 shows it's premium customers (was worse a few years ago when I was PAYG but that (I thought) is in the past...

Apple have released bad ios. And then waited a month or so to.fix it with another.update.

Plus look how long it took them to sort the death grip.

All I'm saying is software companies have.problems, especially Nokia. The number of times they screwed.up goes past 2.hands. lol

Exactly, it's the principle of the matter, if you bought a premium car you wouldn't say "oh it's just a stone chip!"
People that pay for premium devices expect premium service & not half arsed rumours!
