Phone switched off please help

my phone had battery life and I was using it, it suddenly switched off and will not turn Back on I've tried charging it but it will not even charge anymore someone help. It's a Sony Xperia m2

Try holding the reset button down for five seconds until it vibrates 3 times. Do this whilst plugged into charger and after being connected to charger for at least an hour.
If this fails, contact Sony for service.

Which phone have you got?

Edit as I've just seen your edit...

Try pushing the reset button under the sim flap I think on that phone.

Try leaving it connected to charger over night and if still nothing contact Sony for a repair.
