You might get a credit when you renew your contract but there are no discounts owing to you otherwise.

Everyone new or existing gets the same deals, theirs no loyalty anymore, you are just the same as the rest of us customers

use other network's deals as leverage.
when i upgraded to my galaxy s4 in 2013 there wasn't any super deals that other networks didn't beat by a country mile.
i'm watching the S6 now, pretty much every other network has them on £36/month "refresh" style contracts but the o2 shop shows £46/month.
a month or so from now they will be a bit lower and i'll be ringing for a deal or going elsewhere.

my first o2 phone was a pay&go when they were BTcellnet - a phillips savvy circa 1998/99/2000 (not a clue which year though) and have stuck with them since, but you don't get a deal with asking (in a polite manner)!
