Note 4 keeps dropping calls

Anonymous
Not applicable

Hi

Decided to upgrade my Note 2 to a Note 4 on Christmas Eve... All looked good until I started to initiate and receive calls.  I get call drop outs with the signal bar never going higher than one bar. Changed the SIM but still have the issue. Anyone had this?

Daniel

Check your http://status.o2.co.uk for mast issues.

Try removing the sim and cleaning it.

To add keep in mind you have a 14 day window to swap out a handset.

I've had no problem with the Note 4. If the status checker is ok then if you're within the return period, call 202 and get the handset replaced.

Some generic signal advice here http://community.o2.co.uk/t5/Pay-Monthly-and-Pay-Go/Self-help-guide-Is-the-network-down-for-me-or-ev... but I would go with swapping the phone asap if everything else looks good.
Trying your sim in another phone will confirm it for you.

Hi there,
My husband is having similar issues. He's waicing for a new sim to.arrive. If the issue persists, he'll be contacting Samsung as he had the phone since October.

Interesting because my Note 3 tends to pick up 2g when 3g may be available. So given the Note 4 is flagging issues here could it be an inherent issue with hardware design?

Possibly Early days piperdog123 as I've not seen this reported before however as the op is within their 14 days they thankfully have a get out clause to swap it out.
