Lengthy text messages

Hi

I have recently got a new mobile on pay monthly - HTC one MINI

I have noticed whenever I try to send a long text message it reverts over to MMS and when I try to send the message - It wont send and I get a message saying " Unable to send text to .........."

I have looked at the setting but unable to figure out why it wont send the long messages.

Any ideas would be great...thanks in advance

Some modern smartphones do.

On my iPhone I can turn off mms via a toggle or I use iMessage to other idevice users.

If your wanting to send them as mms then text ACTIVE to 2020, save the returned settings and re boot. They are 35p for contract customers or 25 p for payg.

Perhaps loom at e mailing , what's app or viber. The recipient would need those downloaded too.

And you may need to ring 02 to have your account provisioned for mms

To avoid charges and ensure messages are sent as SMS keep them below 480 characters in length.
