Hi,

 

Anyone experienced problems with LG G4, where the phone won't start up, or gets to the LG Life is good screen and turns off? Tried to do a hard reset but, when I go to the option to erase all data, I press yes and the phone just freezes.

 

Its still in warranty, purchased on 7/6/2015, but any ideas welcome.

Lyca sims should work even if locked as they use o2 network so this is really strange!

That makes it even stranger @MI5, is there a setting on the phone that allows it to be used with other service providers and I just have to enable that option, or get a new configuration from O2?

 

Even if I get an unlocking code from anywhere other than O2, I will still have to go to the service provider lock screen option, but won't be able to enter a code as its say "Your phone is not personalized" with only "Dismiss" as an option.

 

So i'm a bit confused as to where i acutally go from here?

You are putting another network sim in the phone before trying the unlocking code?

I'm completely lost with this one now. It's almost like it's sim locked but Tesco are the only provider that I know of that still do that.

yup, @jonsie the instructions said put the O2 Sim in first and try, that didn't work, iso  tried with all the other sims as well as no sim, but it still comes up with :

 

"Your phone is not personalized" "Dismiss" option only, everytime!

So guys, I have to ring LG tomorrow, please read below. O2 can't request directly from LG, so why didn't they tell me that earlier. I have an email from O2 to say they have requested the unlock code from the manufacturer. 
 
VINDI: Just give me a couple of minutes.
VINDI: I am checking for more information Prem.
VINDI: Please be online.
PREM: ok
VINDI: Please call on the below number.
VINDI:

LG Repair Helpdesk Tel : 08448475454

9am - 8pm (Mon - Fri)
9am - 6pm (Sat)

VINDI: They will help you to get the phone unlocked as the phone is directly locked to the LG manufacturer.
VINDI: I am sorry for all the trouble you had to go through.
VINDI: Whenever the phone has some defects the manufacturer replaces the phone that remains locked to them.
VINDI: Just call LG Repair Helpdesk and your issue will be resolved.
VINDI: You had enough followups with all O2 people.
VINDI: I am extremely sorry for the trouble you had to go through.
VINDI: Prem, I've checked the request, we can't request to LG directly.
PREM: so why did they say they have?
PREM: i have been let down severely by O2
VINDI: I am really sorry Prem for all the issue.
VINDI: I Do agree with you that you have been troubled a lot by O2 customer service.
PREM: i will leave it there.
