LG G3. continuous ads

Anonymous

I upgraded from a Samsung S4 to an LG G3 and changed provider from Virgin to o2. I am getting continuous interruptions if adverts for games, and now Asda. I have tried stopping these but had no luck.
Please can anyone help?

What are you doing when the adverts appear? What apps are open?

It's common practice these days for the free apps to be full of ads.
It doesn't matter who the networks is as they have nothing to do with it - It is the apps that you have downloaded.
Adblockers only work on rooted devices so the only option you have is to delete or pay for the ad free versions of your apps (if available).
The other possibility is that you have an infestation of airpush ads (again downloaded with an app) - You can run this app to detect if and where airpush is present https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.brosmike.airpushdetector&hl=en

I concur with the above. A lot of the free apps only earn any revenue by the associated ads. People pay for the ad-free versions to get rid of that annoyance.

I am simply trying to use my phone!

I activate the internet and get swamped with ads.

That simply doesn't just happen as you describe it in normal circumstances.

Can you post any screenshots of said ads and also exactly what you are doing at the time the ads appear?
