Bit late with the reply but I can confirm that it can happen, innocently. About 2 years ago a Scottish bloke was convinced I was his daughter. It took about three days of calls at various times of the day and night to get him to stop calling me because I'd never heard of him or his daughter.
If I'd have had Nougat at the time, I could have blocked his number, as it wasn't witheld. I did save it though, so I knew when it was him calling. I saved his name as a highly offensive word.
