My bill is due on the 23rd but I paid it early on the 18th... Will my direct debit come out as I don't want to be charged twice?

@MandyJ.....what you've not explained is why you wanted to pay 5 days early when you knew there was a DD in place........I just don't understand.

I suspected that would be the case as I said originally. I worked in a bank before my retirement but you could have suspended the direct debit for one month. That way there is no need to set it up again.

Anyway, glad to hear that you have sorted it out and thanks for updating us @MandyJ 😀

No I couldn't... i did ask to suspend for a month but he said they didn't do that and had to just cancel it.

As for lesson learnt ... I've never had a contract before I've always been on pay as you go... I didn't think paying in advance would be such a big drama... I mean you get people not paying at all... pffft... anywayyyy
