As per subject I can't open multimedia messages, and or send them.
Phone is HTC Desire S. I had a lot of problems setting the phone up a while ago as I had to set up everything manually so I don't know if there is a setting somewhere that controls or inhibits this.
Gone through usual checks of looking at access point names etc.

You need 4445 for PAYG CS.
But, the settings I gave you on the previous link for PAYG will work.
If they are not working make sure you have a data signal to the phone and make sure you have credit (to send them).
If nothing is working as CS to re-provision MMS on your account, which means deleting it and re-applying it 24 hours later.
You will have to wait a further 24 hours after this for the changes to take effect.

Also check that you have MMS enabled on your account.
CS might need to reprovision it for you http://www.o2.co.uk/contactus

I assume you have Mobile Data turned on in your phones settings.
Sometimes mms can be hit and miss and expensive at 40p per mms.
Possibly using email , WhatsApp and viber may be viable alternatives.

Mms IS hit and miss sometimes.
There has been occasions even when it is set up correctly that either the sender has a fail message occasionally and the reciever either does not get the message or has trouble opening it up.

Tried that twice. Get msg saying "sorry hadd problems dealing with your request for settings. Call 08705 678678" where I then get asked to dial an 0844 number and just hung up.

Regarding these settings why is it just for connecting to mobile internet? I usually pull down the menu on my main screen go to quick settings tab and select mobile network?
My settings are:
Name: o2 Mobile Web
APN: payandgo.02.co.uk
proxy: not set
port: not set
username: payandgo
password: password
server: not set
mmsc: http://mmsc.mms.02.co.uk:8002
mms proxy: 193.113.200.195
mms port: 8080
mms protocol: wap 2.0
mcc: 234
mns: 10
authentication type: pap
apn type: default,supli
does this look right or should I change them to the settings in the link you supplied?
I got these settings off of another post in here for set up of phone.
