I want to change the number my Galaxy S7 edge diverts to on no answer after 30 seconds. If I type in **61*phonenumber*11*30#Send I get "Connection problem or invalid MMI code". I get the same error message if I try to check the status usung *#61#Send.

I've tried rebooting the phone but that doesn't help. I've tried using other MMI codes and I get the same message.

Anybody any ideas?

Try adding a comma to the end of the code, ie. *#61#, send

No, sorry, same problem.

Incidentally, with all the codes I've tried, when I press send I initially get a message "MMI code started" but then the error message

Codes must be disabled in the firmware.
Did you try from the phone's settings menu?

Have you done a ##61# to degregister the current services

Then do a full status check on *#61#

Then reissue the command *61*+441142xxxxxx#

I have tested this with my 2 android handsets and my iphone and diverted calls to my BT Mobile and SfB landline successfully using the MMI/USSD codes.

Also reboot your handset.
