Call waiting alert/beep heard by caller

Anonymous
Not applicable
Morning,

I hope you can assist. I have an annoying issue with my Sumsung S6 Edge, when on a call, if I receive another call at the same time I hear a call waiting beep tone which is ok, however I do not want the caller on the line to hear this, it is unprofessional and disrupts conversation. How do I stop this? I do want call waiting to be on, but no in-call sounds that can be heard by the person I am on the phone to. Thanks.

You can't stop it.
It's just how it is on any phone.
Turning off call waiting is the only way to stop the beeps.

Yes I understand but you can't have what you want.
It's the way it works for any phone on any network.
Your 2nd party will always get interrupted audio.

I do not believe that to be the case as other carriers the 2nd party will not hear beeping noise caused by a 3rd party calling.

Maybe it is just something O2 do not offer but for example Vodafone does? stopping this I mean might well be a network service feature that can be changed at other carriers but not at O3

I can't speak for Voda but it's the same for EE and Three.

This has always been the issue with O2. When you say it's unprofessional presumably you are talking about business usage? I'm fairly sure the party online will understand someone else is calling. It's how you yourself handle that situation that really matters.

Yes I get that but would rather not have to explain that. Sounds silly but makes all rhe difference sometimes
