Android 4.4 KIT KAT

Anonymous
Not applicable

Hi All,

new version of Android Kitkat should roll out and will be available for couple new phones.

HTC One, S Galaxy S4, Nexus 4, 7 . and couple other. There wont be big changes, but should be faster and main thing save the battery. Does any one know more when we will get it?

Are you sure you downloaded the generic firmware?

Yeah definitely did slight_smile

I check with Kies and it tells me I have the O2U CSC

Then I check on the phone by typing *#1234# and I see the following:

AP:I9505XXUFNB8

CP:I9505XXUFNB8

CSC:I9505BTUFNB3

Does this seem correct?

Yep just checked the Knox flag and its still on 0 too so looks like simply upgrading to another official FW doesn't trip it slight_smile

Hi all,

Just got a Samsung s3 mini from work and wondered if O2 will be offering the KitKat update for this model. I see it on the samsung roll out list but fear this is just for the US model?

Regards.

It should be available later in the year.
The S3 and S3 Mini is still on the list of supported devices from Samsung.
