Android 4.4 KIT KAT

Hi All,

new version of Android Kitkat should roll out and will be available for couple new phones.

HTC One, S Galaxy S4, Nexus 4, 7 . and couple other. There wont be big changes, but should be faster and main thing save the battery. Does any one know more when we will get it?

Yes, that does make sense, everytime I open Kies there seems to be an update

@jonsieYou will need to ask @MI5 that question as he took us both through the whole update process

(which was completely different for both phones)

All I know is..we followed instructions to the letter and never had a problem

So I bit the bullet and upgraded using BTU firmware! all went ahead fine but wondering if I need to do a factory reset now? The uprade itself didn't make me do one so wodering if I even need to bother?

Apologies to others for taking this thread off topic, but I certainly got some answers about Kies which may

be helpful to other technophobes

We normally recommend a reset. Use the phone first to check if you have any lag or other problems, you may find you don't need to do a reset. It's up to you but personally I find it definitely helps after an update.

Okay thanks for that I decided to do one anyway, all worked out fine..only issue I'm seeing is that my CSC code is still showing as 02U for some reason..
