4G

Hi everyone I'm new here just updated my contract a couple of days ago to the S4 I had the S3 and loved it so it was the natural progression for me. Love the phone even though it's packed with new features that I'm just getting used to. I'm wondering about 4G is my phone 4G ready, is my sim a 4G ready sim since I've just started my new tariff would I be able to upgrade to 4G at the end of August would it cost me. Ive looked at videos on youtube about how you check your phone is 4G with the LTE setting on 02 website uk it states in the description of my new phone that it is 4G ready but I dont see any LTE setting on it. Can anyone explain this for me. Thanks in advance

I believe all S4's are 4G ready, but as you just updated your contract, you could be out of luck when the 4G rollout begins. If your sim card says 4G on it, then it's ready, but I don't think you will be able to upgrade to a 4G contract until your current contract runs out. As you only updated a few days ago, you may be within the 7 working days to change your mind. Bear in mind that 4G will only be available in limited areas when it first rolls out. I suggest you call Customer Services on 202 from your mobile to see if you have any options open to you.

You will need a 4G tariff and they aren't being launched until 29th August.

You may have to cancel your contract within 7 days and start again.

It's a pity you didn't come here for advice first.

Unless you have a 4G contract (and they haven't been released yet) you will not get 4G on your phone.

There maybe an option to add it but we won't know until 29th when it starts.
