Hi all

 

I have a Samsung Galaxy S4, a 4G tarrif and am in a 4G area. However, I have no 4G signal and on my S4 I have no option to select 4G. Am I missing something?

wohoo! got the LTE option coming up now after 2 hours wait to download the firmware!!!

 

Thanks marty for the help and support. You are genius.

 

The challenge now is that the phone is not picking up 4G. Now I need to sit with customer service to find out why.. My latest bill and "My O2" does show up the 4G add-on.. So most likely a config issue from their side.

Finally hurray got 4G on my phone and typing on it now. The final solution was quite simple and not sure how O2 missed this as it was due to the sim.

I had an nano sim but apparently that wasn't 4G ready as it was taken before 4G was launched. So frustrated now that I spent so much time on this due to a sim issue.

hi, i'm trying to activate 4g payg on my s4 but o2 keep telling me it's not available on the s4, i didn't buy the phone from o2 but i've got the latest firmware and the option for lte in network setting

It is available.
Is the phone on O2 or is it unlocked (sim free) phone?
What sim card have you got - Does the code on the card start "4ggp" ?

hi phone is sim free and yes it's  a 4g sim and i changed to a 4g tariff but couldn't get a data connection, o2 said it doesn't work on the s4 so swapped my back to a 3g tariff
