Hi everyone!

Thanks for joining the O2 Community! (Or if you haven't yet but would like to, you can register here!). I'm very happy to welcome you here. The O2 Community is a great place to get help and advice on O2 products and services, provide feedback and suggestions for the network, and have general chit chat. slight_smile

My name's Martin, one of the Community Managers here on the O2 forum. I work with @lewys-gp and @RafaC who are also part of the Community team. Personally, I've been working on communities for the last 8 years and have been with O2 since February 2016!

This thread is all about introducing yourself to the Community and we'd love to hear a bit more about you! Things like:

  • Pay monthly, Pay as you Go or Business Customer?
  • What phone you currently have?
  • Hobbies and interests?
  • Random or cool facts about you?

If you have any suggestions, questions about anything to do with O2 or the Community give us a shout or drop me a private messageSmiley Wink

I look forward to speaking to you soon. slight_smile

VM clearly calling the shots now.

They have a similar forum.

Our new community manager is the same as the VM one.

Can't see them supporting the cost of 2 forums going forward......

@MI5

Our Community Manger is very quiet.

Well it's inevitable that the amalgamation won't be complete until the two communities combine.

I wouldn't have chosen to be with Virgin at all.....

being only a pipsqueak in the scale of things I don't suppose this will bother them too much 😅

Question will be is there a sort of merge, one gets discontinued and everything gets imported over, or something new that covers everything...

Please note, this is not customer services and we cannot access your account. Do not publish personal details (email, phone number, bank account).

The "powers to be" need reminding that the O2 Community played a major part during the Covid pandemic [check out Heroes of the Community on Off Topic] with help, support and advice from unpaid members of the Community, which they had done before, and have done since.

As has been said [check posts on this thread], the O2 Community is more than just another forum, it is in the truest sense of the word a Community, where people can come together to support each other, share their interests, and have fun and escape the world outside. As such the Welcome thread played an important part, with tags of newbies, so we could make them feel welcome and part of the Community.

I personally hope that the impending changes will be minor and that O2 Community does not end up like the VN forum which has shown a decline in interest over the past months.

I believe that the O2 Community can survive, prosper, and increase its membership, if we are given the chance to prove it and are given the necessary support - such as re-establishing this Welcome thread.

Very well said @Mi-Amigo 😉

Also remember when CS can't help members, they send them here for help and assistance.

We have given time willingly and  the powers that be need to remember that.

@Cleoriff @Mi-Amigo

Does anyone really believe the powers that be given a 🐒 uncle about what has gone on in the past or how good the members are?

If they have dumped good staff members they will not be bothered about us or those that have given stirling service on the Virgin Community.

I think you will find the party is over.

This is not O2 and we are all customers here similar to yourself and cannot answer account type queries.

@Enlli

I'm just trying to stay positive. Whether I believe it or not is irrelevant really.

Until I'm told this forum is going, then I prefer to believe otherwise.

That doesn't make me stupid or naive. Just hopeful.

Hi, I switched from another provider to O2. I am so utterly disappointed that I am going in circles trying to get a breakdown of VAT charges. It's not detailed on my bill. I called O2 and was told it would be available within 24 hours. No luck! It seems impossible to get to talk to people and get this resolved. Such a bad customer experience!

Have you tried leaving a message with the o2 social media teams? (If that suits you)

These teams seem to be better at sorting issues

As @SunsAnvil was advised in a previous post but I'm not sure they have taken that advice
