O2 will offer Apple’s latest products starting on 22nd September 2017, including the new generation iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus. Customers will be able to pre-order iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus beginning 15th September at www.o2.co.uk/iphone, in store, voice and online, with iPhone X pre-order beginning Friday 27th October

Yea it’s annoying but it will get to you. I got that email on Sunday, Tuesday and today. Word for word, I also thought it was a nice update but no.
I doubt it will come this weekend now so may as well just accept it.
I honestly don’t think there’s much more that chat support via phone or online can do or say much more than they already have.

Good to see O2 learnt from their mistakes on the IP7 launch. 🙄
I decided to wait as I just don’t need the stress of all this pre order nonsense with its lack of information, slipping delivery dates, lack of stock etc etc.
I was on the order page with a Nov 3rd delivery slot and just thought sod it, it’s just a phone.
I’m going to wait with my working IP7 until all this nonsense passes and I can just order one without all the hassle and stress.
I’ll get to see what goes wrong with the first batch too. Crackgate anyone?

I get your point about waiting to see about faults. My IP7+ was from launch day last year and ivenitgad a single problem with it. Battery is still excellent and I’m on my phone ALL the time.

Waiting for stock after ordering early is just the same as waiting for stock before ordering.

I’m looking forward to it arriving but want people that got theirs to update with their thoughts.

Well my one was ‘by the 17th’ but I got it yesterday. I didn’t get a text or email as the store forgot to send them out! If you look at your order (on click and collect) and it shows completed then I would strongly suggest you try going to the store!

@Anonymous the open discount was available on my 8 just 3 weeks after purchase (was an excluded device at point of purchase)  so allowing me to apply the discount I hope the x follows the same pattern but you maybe unlucky
