Hello
Last week I changed on to a new sim monthly deal through uswitch.
I chose one that advertised volt benefits and it showed this when I went through checkout (sim deal for 30GB with boost up to 60GB).
My data allowance is only showing 30GB at the moment despite having the volt benefits applied to my previous tariff. Will this take time to be applied again? I thought it would be immediate given my account was already activated with Volt (and has been for a long time)

You lose the O2 Volt benefit for a few days when you change O2 Contract, @lisaspoon - about a week when I upgraded last December, it came back by itself. Good luck.
