Hi
I've just taken out a new Virgin Media Volt contract which includes an O2 SIM at £25/mo. They said that because I have an existing O2 SIM from the last Volt deal, I can keep that rather than having to take out a new contract. However, they said I'd have to contact O2 to get the £25/mo tariff, as it's currently over £32 after the various price rises.
Does anybody know how I can request this? I've tried with the above explanation to two different operators via the live chat and neither understood what I was asking and closed the chat which is frustrating. I was trying to avoid hours on the phone if at all possible, but chat seems to be the only option otherwise.
Cheers
John

So what are you paying now? Do you need unlimited data?
As long as you have an O2 SIM you can change tariff to something more suitable without taking out a new contract

Thanks for the advice, I wasn't aware of that and thought it was linked somehow. My account states that I've currently got a 250GB SIM with unlimited minutes/texts and I'm paying £32.74 a month. I didn't choose this, it was just what they signed me up with when I signed up for Volt 18 months ago.
I only use it as a backup so don't use anywhere near the data limit, but I was happy to keep it if they'll honour the £25/mo advertised on the Volt bundle I've just taken out (or 'renewed'). I was trying to keep it simple in retaining the existing SIM rather than having a new account set up, but I'm starting to wish I'd just let Virgin Media sign me up again and cancelled this one.
Cheers
