Hi, I'm trying to put my o2 PAYG sim card into my new phone, but it can't see it. My old phone is a Samsung GT-E1080i, my new phone is a Emporia-One v200.

My husband has a Nokia 2330c-2, also on o2 PAYG, and his sim card works in all 3 phones. My sim also works in my phone and his Nokia, just not the Emporia. Any ideas?

I've now eliminated the problem. It appears that these sim cards are too thin for the Emporia's sim slot, so I squeezed a thin shim on top of it. The only reason they all worked in the Nokia is because that uses a "drop-in" sim slot with a retaining clip. Thanks to everyone for your help.

The only thing i can think of is that it's the wrong size?

This might be a silly question :
Have you put the sim card in the memory card slot at all?

I figured it was in the correct slot as the other sims worked in the phone OK.

It's definitely the right size, and in the right slot. I've cleaned it as recommended, but it still only works in the 2 phones, whereas the other sim card works in all 3 phones.

I think I'd take it and your sim to your local O2 store so they can check if there is an issue with your sim card at all.

I wish I could, but we are still in lockdown due to age and underlying health issues. I really wish it was possible to speak to o2 tech support about this.

I can ask @O2Emma to give you a shout but not sure if she can do anything other than order a new sim for you?

Hi @grang if your sim works fine in 2 phones this would suggest not a sim issue please can you post what your Emporia-One v200 says/shows when you insert sim please .
