had my sim disconnected last night, i am awaiting the arrival of a new sim (possibly today) but cant now receive or make calls or texts so will cause issues with the sim swap and cant get hold of customer services on the live chat

Customer services don't open until 8am.
If you want live chat then you will usually find them if browsing in the shop https://www.o2.co.uk/shop.
Otherwise try social media
You can message O2 on Facebook ( https://o2uk.co/O2CFB) , Twitter ( https://o2uk.co/O2CTW) or Instagram ( https://o2uk.co/O2CIG), hopefully they should be able to help.
