Hello,
I’ve ported over from smarty 2 days ago now. iMessage is refusing to activate. I’ve tried the SIM card in two iPhones so I know it’s the network not Apple.
So far I’ve, reset network settings, hard reset the iPhone, restored the iPhone, turned iMessage on and off, turned FaceTime on and off, only used Wi-Fi, only used data, only used 4G not 5G, checked the time is on auto, checked the correct number is display under general etc, signed out of iCloud. I am ready to leave O2 in my 14 day cooling off period because this is beyond a joke. If anyone could help me, that would be appreciated
that is all.

You just need to wait.
It will activate in around 5 days time.

I can’t wait 5 days to receive iMessages from friends and family!? This is crazy! When I switched to smarty it was available instantly. Is this normal for O2?!

It might be worth checking with customer service to ensure iData is enabled on your account

Hello,
is there a way for me to check this on my o2 or is it a background thing?
thank you.

After being disconnected on the first call. Second agent said they’d phone back and the third agent said they’d just speak to their manager. I am no further. The second agent did say idata is active though. I explained that I’ve tried the sim in two iPhones and it’s 100% the network but she still got me to check my number in phone settings. Why don’t they listen. ☹️
