Other 2FA codes seem to be ok, but eBay ones don’t arrive.

Done all the tips, but simply not working.

@CraigK

Sounds like the issue is with eBay then.

Best to contact them.

I have experienced that same problem with ebay 2FA texts @CraigK, albeit some years ago.

If I remember correctly, going into ebay and removing +44 from the start of my mobile number and replacing it with a zero did the trick. 👍

Unfortunately I don't get the option - massively annoying as I didn't sign up for 2FA (and the Customer Service person said it wasn't active) but I get a demand to verify my login via SMS.

I can change my password, and I then get an option to verify via SMS or Email, but actually logging in is SMS only.

My hope was that I would post here and a few others would say the same, and I could then ask O2 if the eBay SMS number had been erroneously flagged as spam.

A little bit of an update - because I can receive all other 2FA codes that I've tried O2 have said it's an eBay Issue.

I added a Lycamobile eSim to my phone, and requested to change the number on my eBay account, which sent a 2FA SMS to the new number, which arrived within 30 seconds.

So it isn't my phone, nor does it seem to be eBay?

Weird behaviour with 2FA is not uncommon on O2

This is not O2 and we are all customers here similar to yourself and cannot answer account type queries.
