For about the last 6 days I have been unable to contact my husband (both O2 iPhone to iPhone) on his mobile using both calls and WhatsApp, I get number busy tone despite it not being so. We have both tried other numbers with success and others can call him ok its just me to him. He has contacted support and carried out all the checks, call blocking, do not disturb etc, reset his phone and still no good. O2 sent out a new sim which we swapped yesterday afternoon with no joy. The signal at home is very patchy and twice he asked to be called back on our landline when the call dropped out, but no one did....very frustrating. Any ideas please? Thanks

Have you @TrevorMary and your husband tried contacting each other when neither of you is at home ; to try to ascertain whether it is a 'phone issue or a network issue ?

I am not sure of the relevance of "......twice he asked to be called back on our landline when the call dropped out, but no one did...." as the landline is not connected to O2 ?

Thank you yes I was first alerted to the issue when calling him from home when he was travelling away from home.

We gave the landline number as an alternative when speaking with customer help. My comment was the fact that nobody from O2 tried to contact us when the call dropped out on the mobile due to patchy signal.

O2 customer services rarely call back. They are just as likely to drop the line their end as it is for it to drop yours.

We recommend dealing with the UK based Social Media team. They have a better reputation

Facebook (https://o2uk.co/O2CFB) ,

X  Twitter (https://o2uk.co/O2CTW) or  Instagram (https://o2uk.co/O2CIG)

This is not O2 and we are all customers here similar to yourself and cannot answer account type queries.

Update: we put the sim in to my husbands previous iPhone (12) and all worked!!! so we then compared settings on both, strangely my phone number was blocked on his iPhone 14 without his knowledge or doing. He had been asked to check that. Very strange how that happened, our home phone was also blocked.... Anyway all sorted now , so thanks for all your suggestions. Still no call back from O2..........

Glad it's sorted

Doubt you get a callback from O2

As suggested make sure both phones have WiFi Calling selected and set it to Wifi Preferred,
