Can anyone help please, I am due to travel to Italy on Friday - do I need to activate anything on my account to ensure my phone will work?
I had problems with my last provider EE when I first travelled. I called customer services yesterday but i am not convinced they fully understood what i was asking.

Are you on pay as you go or contract (sim only or with device) @KCB ?
If contract, make sure you have asked customer services to enable WiFi and 4G calling on your account.
If PAYG then you will probably not be able to connect to a network while there so stick to WiFi and using WhatsApp or similar.

Italy has closed down 3G so you will need 4G calling before you make or receive calls.

If you don't already have it activated, you need to contact O2 to turn it on, then you can turn it on in My O2.
We're just customers like you but it sounds as if you need someone to access your account which can't be done from here
Give O2 a call on 202 or 0344 809 202 (Contract) 4445 or 0344 809 222 (PAYG)
Or you can message O2 on social media on Instagram https://o2uk.co/O2CIG), Facebook ( https://o2uk.co/O2CFB) , Twitter ( https://o2uk.co/O2CTW).
