I have a pay as you go phone.

I was recently in France and Italy.

When returning through France I sent texts to our friends in Italy; all the texts from me were received showing foreign numbers, for example, France, Italy, Germany, Dominican Republic and Martinique.

However texts to my daughter in the UK were fine and were showing my number.

Since returning I have tried texting Italy again and the same problem occurs.

I only use the 'phone for calling & texting, any ideas/issues?

You need additional credit to text abroad when in the UK.

International texts are not included in your bundle.

@BlueLegal Download WhatsApp and tell the people you want to text to download the app too. If you use the app over WiFi you can call and text anyone anywhere in the world who has the app for free.

I DO NOT WORK FOR O2

Thanks for the replies but why would a foreign number be shown?

There was plenty of money on the account.
